Limescale buildup on shower heads affects water flow and pressure, but descaling is simple with the right approach.
The vinegar soak
Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar, secure it around the shower head so it’s fully submerged, and leave for 30 minutes to an hour.
Rinse and brush
After soaking, rinse thoroughly and use an old toothbrush to clear any remaining buildup from the nozzle holes.
How often to descale
Monthly is a reasonable default, more often in areas with harder water.
