A little preparation before your cleaner arrives means more of their time goes toward actual cleaning rather than working around clutter. Here’s a simple pre-visit checklist.
Clear surfaces
Put away loose items on counters, tables and floors. Cleaners can dust and wipe around objects, but a genuinely clear surface gets a more thorough clean.
Secure valuables and important documents
It’s good practice to put away anything particularly valuable or sensitive, not out of distrust (every Cleaning Services CPT cleaner is background-checked), but simply as sensible household practice with any visitor.
Sort out pets
Let us know in advance if you have pets, and consider whether they’re comfortable with a stranger in the home, or whether it’s easier to have them in a separate room or outside during the visit.
Confirm access
Make sure gate codes, keys or access instructions are clearly communicated ahead of time, so the visit isn’t delayed at the door. For a full pre-visit checklist by room, see our cleaning checklists guide, or head to house cleaning services to book.
